It's a challenge for Australia to set fresh records.

The highest peaks have long been mastered.

This is the squad that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, along with an additional six T20 titles, and once went nearly four years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, the ones sought by the record chasers, are all that remain for a squad that has achieved everything.

That it took until Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase above 300, reclaiming their record for the highest in the female 50-over format, is, honestly, a tribute to the pitchers that have represented Australia over the past 50 years.

It is hard for their batters to maintain a record if never given the opportunity.

In the end, the consequence of Australia conceding 330 was skipper Alyssa Healy being given an opportunity to deliver her newest gem.

"Pursuing 330 is uncharted waters so I am glad we have the assurance to achieve that now," stated Healy further.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it again but, if necessary, we are confident we can achieve it."

That comment will be the last Australia's opponents at this championship should hear.

Over the past five days a belief they will triumph from any situation has become more firm - this triumph succeeding success over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite sitting at 76-7 at one point.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a match against longtime competitors England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a last-four spot may likely be confirmed.
